Free Pattern · Washcloth Collection 2021

Washcloth #2 ~ Silt

This is the second washcloth in my 2021 collection.

Every other Saturday in 2021, I will release a washcloth pattern. Some will be lacy and light and some will be sturdy and dense. The first will typically, but not always, be free. The second will usually be paid.

At the end of the year, there will be an e-book for sale that contains all the patterns, plus 3 bonus patterns.

By the end of the year you will have a lovely collection of washcloths and you will probably have learned some new stitches!

This pattern is also available at a small price ($1.50) as a Ravelry download if you’d prefer that.

DESCRIPTION: This simple pattern goes by quickly and is easy to memorize. Make several for a housewarming gift, or to put in a care package for a new college student.

GAUGE & SIZING: Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth roughly 9.5 inches by 9.5 inches. If you would like to change the size, simply chain the width you’d like, making sure it’s a multiple of 3, then add 1, then 2 more chains.
